Welcome! I am so glad to finally be here. I have been feeling for months the need to share all that I have learned and all that I am still learning about health and nutrition as I fight my way back from being in a worse physical condition than I ever dreamed possible. As I write this I am almost halfway to my goal weight and feeling better than I have in a very long time.

Start at the top in the “Start Here” section and read my story. Then consider joining me in 52 Weeks of Health where each week I will put forth a baby-step challenge that will set us further and further down the road to good health. During each week I will post at least once, and maybe several times, about the science behind each step. I will also include recipes when appropriate. I welcome your comments and questions. If you have differing opinions go ahead and express them gently, but please try to back them up with some scientific study – not just the opinion of some famous person.
As the next few weeks fly by there will be many changes and additions to this website; it is, after all, a work in process. Stay tuned and consider subscribing to the RSS feed. If you have topics you would like to see discussed here put it in the comment section and I will consider it.
